Lumley’s Master Carpenters remains dedicated to craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and sustainable practices in every project they undertake.
Lumley Hulley, started his journey into the world of carpentry in the beautiful Namibian desert, where, over a period of seven years, he gained a wealth of experience, building and maintaining lodges and guest houses for the tourism industry. He relocated to Cape Town in 2003 and while familiarising himself with the local market, became involved in shopfitting, installation of timber shutters, and the design and manufacture of bespoke furniture.
In 2011, Lumley founded Lumley’s Master Carpenters, initially offering a broad range of services but eventually focusing on outdoor structures. While the company experienced growth around 2018, it later chose to prioritize excellence over expansion, leading to a more streamlined operation.
